We are a Non-denominational Christian Organization (also known as interdenominational)

We commit ourselves to the historic Protestant principles that Scripture alone guides our faith and that we are justified by faith alone. We also embrace the Evangelical call to personal conversion, to honor the Bible as God’s Word, to celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection, and to actively share the gospel.

We stand by the Protestant Evangelical faith. Protestantism began in the 1500s, when leaders such as Martin Luther and John Calvin broke away from the Roman Catholic Church. Protestants believe:

  1. The Bible is our highest authority.

  2. We are saved by trusting in Jesus, not by our own efforts.

  3. Each person can know God directly.

Within Protestantism, the Evangelical movement emphasizes four core truths:

  • You must experience a personal turn to Christ, often called being “born again.”

  • The Bible is God’s true, inspired Word.

  • Every Christian should share the good news of Jesus with others.

  • Jesus’s death and resurrection are the only way to be made right with God.

We respect the sincere convictions of all Christian traditions. However:

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) teaches about Christ’s nature in ways that conflict with our conviction of His full divinity.

  • Jehovah’s Witnesses hold similar views that do not align with our beliefs.

  • The Roman Catholic Church’s (and all Catholicism) doctrines on papal authority, sacramental mediation, and justification by faith plus works also conflict with our understanding of Christ’s unique purpose for the church. Therefore, we respectfully ask that individuals who hold these beliefs refrain from applying. For more on our Catholic position, click here.

While our Christian members may differ on secondary issues—such as the administration of communion, baptism, and the exercise of charismatic gifts—this declaration of faith represents the foundational convictions affirmed by all within our fellowship.

Our purpose is to answer the calling of God to advance the gospel, and unite the body of Christ. For these reasons, we choose to look past our denominational backgrounds for sake of the cross; even more the empty tomb.

Before going to the cross, Jesus makes clear His perspective of a Christian testimony that leads others to salvation:

“As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world…I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:18-21; ESV).

The Apostle Paul also reminds us:

"Therefore, accept each other in the same way that Christ accepted you. He did this to bring glory to God" (Romans 15:7).

With these passages in mind, we accept membership from Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, Pentecostal, Non-denominational backgrounds (and the like which are distinctly Christian).

Our goal here is not to cover every point of theology proper, but rather to be sure that we share the same understanding and faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. For every article of our statement of faith rests upon the foundation of Christ:

  • We exalt Him as our only hope and source for the forgiveness of sin, and the grace of salvation.
  • There is no other “way” (religion, etc.) by which to know the Father, than through the Son (John 14:6).
  • Jesus said His the Door (singular), and any other path is taken by thieves (John 10:8).
