Requirements to be Recognized as a Minister by the NACM
1) The candidate must be an accepted member with our organization. Membership is the first step. It is not the same as applying for ordination.
2) The candidate must make a firm confession of the evangelical Christian faith. This is defined as confessing agreement with every point in our statement of faith.
3) The candidate must pass a theological evaluation by an Elder serving within our organization. This is a part of the application process which may be conducted by email, phone call, or in person.
4) The candidate must use their testimony to demonstrate a call to ministry through the application process, which requires clear statements of personal ministry goals, vision, mission statements, and agreement with our values in ministry.
5) The candidate must confirm the conviction that sexual intercourse outside of marriage is sin, and that the candidate is not living in sexual sin.
6) The candidate must not be required by law to register as a sex offender.
7) The candidate must not be incarcerated.
8) The candidate must confirm that they will not perform a wedding without a State issued marriage license to only a man and a woman (in the state the marriage license was issued).
9) The candidate must confirm that they have not used illegal drugs or prescription drugs not prescribed directly to them; not less than one year at the time of submitting the application.
10) The candidate must pass a deep public Internet background check of their character.
